All about Joe Jonas

Joe Jonas was born Joseph Adam Jonas in Casa Grande, Arizona, on August 15, 1989, to parents Denise, a former sign-language teacher, and Paul Kevin Sr., a former Christian minister and musician. Jonas was raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and is the second of four brothers. Music was a large part of Jonas's family and upbringing. His brother Nick even signed a recording contract with Columbia Records as a young boy.

Jonas noticed how much fun his brother was having as a musician, and at age 12 auditioned for and was cast in Baz Luhrmann's Broadway production of Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème. He soon began to collaborate with Nick and older brother Kevin, to great success. The brothers' efforts were noticed by Columbia Records, and subsequently Joe and Kevin were optioned into Nick's contract. The three siblings then created the boy band the Jonas Brothers.
